Supporting Our Community
Did you know Eloise’s Cooking Pot Food Bank in Tacoma distributed over 2,000,000 pounds of food to over 29,300 households in 2017?! This makes Eloise’s the 3rd largest in Pierce County. Their outreach is impressive – serving 100-150 individuals and families on-site and making deliveries to the elderly and disabled each of the four days a week they are open. Eloise’s relies on donations and volunteers to help carry out every aspect of their mission; from stocking shelves, refrigerators, and freezers, to organizing the warehouse, preparing bags for deliveries, making deliveries, and bagging groceries for clients.
Last Friday, Team Seneschal was added to Eloise’s community of volunteers. We spent the entire day supporting this hard-working organization and look forward to the next time we can do it again.
